7 Canadian coaches to follow for training in the comfort of your own home!

Although the pandemic has imposed the closure of training facilities, this should not stop us from working out. Not everyone enjoys outdoor exercise in the middle of a cold Quebec winter. What if it were possible to move around indoors, at home, at no (or almost no) cost? Thanks to technology, it is now easy to keep fit at home. All you need is enough space in your living room, and you're done. If you don't want to invest in weights from the start, a good old-fashioned trick is to use soup cans, but don't say we shared this tip with you!

Well known on the South Shore of Montreal, Blackburn Athletics gyms have chosen to continue offering daily lessons to their members and their entire community via Facebook. Thanks to a large team of professionals, the training sessions or workouts are varied and target different body parts for an average of 45 minutes. In addition, the videos remain available on Facebook, so they can be played in any order. I bet it will make you want to join their gym as soon as the pandemic is behind us!
2. The famous Locomotion studio teaches you boxing!

Boxing is a sport that requires you to be in top shape. This combat sport requires concentration, good reflexes, good footwork and protection at all times. Considered as complex and complete training, why not learn the basics of boxing at home? The Locomotion studio offers training sessions. It is easy to follow all of them since they also show the movements thanks to explanatory videos. You don't need a lot of equipment since it is done in your living room, but it is advisable to get a skipping rope (a classic for boxers)!
3. Geneviève AD passes on her passion for cycling and yoga

Does the name Geneviève Asselin-Demers ring a bell? Not surprisingly, she won the 2015 Montreal Marathon. As a great sportswoman, she still practices running, spinning and yoga. Since the closure of training centres, this spinning teacher has chosen to bring her lessons online through live broadcasts on her Facebook page. This makes it possible for you to take her lessons every morning or throughout the day, whichever you prefer. You can also revisit the previous lessons. She offers yoga classes for stretching between virtual bike rides. Geneviève is an energetic woman and it is always pleasant to take on her little personal challenges.

The well-known Montreal coach, Vag, quickly turned to the web to reach his regular clients. Together with his wife, he offers more than 15 home-training sessions on IGTV. While Vag explains the movements well, his wife performs them next to him. He once again succeeds in making his clients sweat without requiring any equipment!

Missing nightclubs during lockdown? What if you danced in your living room like Meredith in Grey's Anatomy... but a little more formally? Léa Robert offers aerobic dance classes on Youtube. There are training sessions of various lengths. You can learn choreography for a song, or specific dance moves or stretches.

As a well-known coach on social networks, Félix Daigle has been collaborating for many years with other sites and organizations such as the city of Longueuil or Blond Story. You can find videos of different durations on his Youtube account. Above all, his dissection of the moves is appreciated by those who have less supervised training practice.
