BUYING TIPS TO FIND THE RIGHT SKI

In order to make your shopping experience easier, we have a diagram available on all our alpine ski product sheets.

Here are the criteria to consider for your future purchase of alpine skis.

Skill level

The choice of alpine skis should be made according to your skill level. It is important that your skis are tailored to the type of skier you are.

Snow conditions

During your ski-session, you may find yourself skiing on different types of trails and snow. If you ski in fresh snow more often, choose powder skis. Choose carving skis if you ski down groomed runs. On the other hand, choose all-mountain skis if you want a ski that can adapt to different conditions.

Radius

It is important to take into consideration the radius of the skis. It represents the distance made by the ski during a turn.
- For small dynamic turns, choose a model with a shorter radius.
- If you enjoy making wider turns, choose a model with a longer radius.

Sidecut

The sidecut represents the dimensions of the skis which is the width of the tip, the waist (under the foot) and the tail of the ski. The greater the difference between the tip, the tail and the middle portion of the ski, the shorter the radius will be. The wider the waist (under the foot), the more flotation it will offer in powder snow.

THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT FOR THE PERFECT RIDE!

Enjoying winter sports comes from choosing the right equipment. Boots, bindings, poles, helmets and goggles are just some of the items that are essential for a successful day of skiing.

COMFORT AND CONTROL FOR YOUR FEET

Your boots must be adapted to your practice, which will influence their maneuverability. As for the size, go for snug comfort rather than a soft one.

BINDINGS: AN ESSENTIAL LINK

A good choice of bindings will take into account your size, your skill level, your type of ski and of course your boots.

MAXIMIZE YOUR CONTROL

Ski poles allow you to move around and ensure your balance. When you buy a pole, the size you choose will be determined by your height.

PROTECT WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT

Finding the right helmet is important. Ventilation, fit and lining are some of the components to consider for your alpine outings.

TECHNOLOGY FOR YOUR EYES

The choice of lens is not only a question of style, but mostly one of visibility.

A good fit of your goggles and helmet is essential to avoid fogging up during your descent. Your goggles are designed to filter light so that you can enjoy optimal vision during a foggy or a sunny day.
